Osprey

The Osprey are of a non-migratory race (Pandion haliaetus ridgwayi) found only in the Caribbean; of the total population, a quarter occurs in coastal Belize.  The osprey is an important top predator, fishing throughout the atoll’s lagoon, and transferring nutrients from the sea to the cayes.
