We’re Hiring! Conservation Ranger – Maya Forest Corridor (MFC)
WCS Belize is seeking a Conservation Ranger to support the protection, monitoring, and day-to-day management of WCS-managed lands within the Maya Forest Corridor. This role includes conducting patrols, supporting wildland fire management, collecting field data, and engaging with local communities to promote compliance with conservation regulations.
📍 Location: Maya Forest Corridor Field Base, Belize District
🕒 Type: Full-time
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum high school education
- At least 2 years of relevant field experience
- Good knowledge of Belize’s landscapes, wildlife, and wildland fire management
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Physically fit and able to work in remote field conditions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email); experience with monitoring tools is an asset
- Valid manual driver’s license
- Spanish language skills are an advantage
